11-year-old Lisa doesn't have time for toys because she has to look after her siblings and cook for her mother. It was Christmas Eve, and there was a big snowstorm. Lisa went to Toyland in a Wizard of Oz-style way, and she arrived just in time for a wedding. In spite of her love for Jack, Mary Contrary is about to marry Barnaby Barnacle, a mean, old man, even though she wants to marry someone else. Lisa and her new friends try to stop this wedding. They also learn that Barnaby wants to take over Toyland. If Lisa doesn't believe in toys, the Toymaster won't be able to help Lisa, Mary, Jack, and Georgie Porgie.
