Overview
It's Hackman who portrays a professor in New York City who decides to marry his long-term lover and move to California for a fresh start. However, he is warned by his mother that moving so far away from his father could be difficult for him. The mother dies just before the wedding. To avoid being ruled by his father, Hackman should follow his sister's advice (who has been excommunicated by their father for marrying a Jew).
