Charlotte collapses when she learns that her boyfriend Ben has died in an accident. She awakens in Ben's family home, a crumbling old manor house in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by Ben's overbearing mother and his controlling stepbrother, both of whom are determined to care for her. Charlotte, bereaved and haunted by visions possibly caused by the pregnancy, begins to doubt the family's intentions, and her suspicions grow that they may be attempting to control her and her unborn child.
