Adapted on the novel "Mustanger and the Lady" by acclaimed western novelist Dusty Richards, 'Painted Woman' tells the narrative of Julie Richards. Julie is a woman of her time, passed from hand to hand in a web of abuse and prostitution that eventually lands her at Kyle Allison's feet. Allison, a wealthy businessman in Goldfield's old west, welcomed little Julie into his home and turned her into his trophy. This life came with the benefit of being looked after, but at the cost of additional abuse. As Julie's time with Allison draws to a conclusion, she is given two distinct opportunities to leave with two very different men... PAINTED WOMAN is divided into two unique chapters of Julie's life, with each chapter echoing the previous one. The first chapter details Julie's meeting with Frank. It is primarily told at night in Goldfield. Chapter two continues the story of the Mustanger. It is set in the outdoors and is primarily narrated during the day.
