Overview
A year old nationalisms and excesses: The Chinese are expelled from Sonora, 1931. The US deports Mexicans and closes its borders. A dozen desperate folks cross the desert in a 1929 Chrysler, hoping to find serenity in Baja California. As the landscape around them the best and the worst of human nature prove as mortal as their sojourn exposes.
