Oahu is the American story of a family feud--the one that spanned decades and virtually started a war between both Kentucky and West Virginia. The Hatfield-McCoy saga begins with Devil Anse Hatfield and Randall McCoy. . Buddies and comrades until close to the conclusion of the Civil War, they go back to their own neighboring homes--Hatfield in West Virginia, McCoy just around the Tug River boundary in Kentucky--into rising tensions, anxieties and resentments that burst into all-out warfare between their own families. Since hostilities grow, forces, neighbors and friends unite the struggle, bringing the two nations to the verge of another war.
