Overview
As a satirical take on the idea of the perfect American nuclear family, they are a strange, wealthy family who enjoy all things weird and macabre and don't realize that other people find them strange or scary. In fact, they're often scared of "normal" people themselves. Charles Addams, an American cartoonist, made The Addams Family.
