Based on Bonnie Bryant's books, The Saddle Club is a children's television program. The scripted live action series, like the book series, follows the lives of three adolescent girls as they train to compete in equestrian contests at the made-up Pine Hollow Stables while juggling issues in their personal lives. The Saddle Club manages their rivalry with Veronica throughout the series, as well as their preparation for competitions and horse exhibitions and the everyday conflicts that develop between friends and staff at the made-up Pine Hollow Stables. Every time, The Saddle Club overcomes obstacles and generally conveys a message about the value of friendship and cooperation.
